All About Key Club

Our Story

Key Club is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. It is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through the vehicle of community service. Key Clubbers are members of the Kiwanis International family and strive to build themselves as they build their schools and communities. Through Key Club you can join in on community service and volunteering that happens in your own neighborhood - things like fundraisers for cancer or trash cleanups. The Key Club experience will give you tons of opportunities and amazing memories that'll last a lifetime, it even helps you meet new people that live in your neighborhood.

Division 2 South is apart of the Key Club international California-Nevada- Hawaii (CNH) District. Division 2 South Lavender Llamas were created after the 2017-2018 term when Division 2 Kiwis had to split. We split up into 2 North and 2 South, and while 2 north remained Kiwis 2 South became known as the Lavender Llamas. Our first LTG for Division 2 South was Vivian Luong then we had Christy Wong and now Division 2 South will be carrying on the legacy for the 2021-2022 term with Valentina Phung as our wonderful Lieutenant Governor. She will be leading the following eight schools in the Bay area; Alameda, Arroyo, Castro Valley, Encinal, KIPP King Collegiate, Leadership Public Schools-Hayward, San Leandro and San Lorenzo to great success this year!

Key Club International is made up of 33 other districts whom all focus their ideas around the same values-Leadership, Inclusiveness, Caring and Character Building. As a team, we give it our all to help out with causes and the people in the world who need it most. The three preferred charities of Key Club International are paramount to the organization's success in serving children. These are the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, March of Dimes, and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
